Johnny's film 'Public Enemies' begins filming

Johnny's been spotted in Columbus, Wisconsin today as filming begins on his new project, Public Enemies.  I'm already excited about this. :)

Unfortunately, I'm probably about a thousand miles away from there...down here in Texas... I wish there was some way I could go up there and watch the filming. *sigh* Maybe a future project of his... From my understanding, he'll be in Albuquerque, NM for part of the filming of Shantaram...maybe I'll be able to take a little roadtrip then... *goes off to ponder*

I've been waiting for pics, too. I was surprised we got some so quickly on the first day of filming and everything. :) Not that I'm complaining, mind you. ;)

:) Seems like several people thought/hoped for Columbus, Ohio. The producers/director opted for Columbus, Wisconsin because they loved the 1930's feel of the downtown area.

The movie is based on the non-fiction book "Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-43" by Bryan Borrough, & it focuses on John Dillinger and his gang. Johnny plays Dillinger as the film follows the last few years of his life.
